Mirchi Ka Saalan :-)

 Mirchi Ka Saalan 



Recipe :


Ingredients for Mirchi Ka Salan - Raj Style

Green Chilies 18-20 large
Coriander leaves finely chopped
Garlic 6-8 large seeds finely chopped
Saunf - 1 Teaspoon ( Aniseed)
Cumin seeds Half teaspoon
Garam Masala
Coriander powder
Turmeric Powder
Good Amount of Oil.
Chili Powder
Onion finely chopped 1 Medium sized
Tomato 1 small finely chopped
Curd 300 Gms
Salt to taste


1.Wash, wipe and slit green chillies lengthwise without cutting through. Marinate the chilies using little Curd, Turmeric Powder, Red Chill Powder little of Coriander Powder & Salt to taste. (Keep it for 10/15 minutes minimum)


2.Heat Oil in pan add saunf ( Aniseed) , Add Cumins , Add Onion / Garlic and Fry it till its golden. Ensure Saunf /Cumin does not burn. Add finely chopped tomato & coriander leaves fry it nicely add salt to taste. Cook it till you see oil out.


3.Add Marinated Chilies and cook for 5 minutes . Add Red Chilli Powder , Coriander powder , chilli powder ( if you want spicy add more ) let it cook for 10 min. You would see greenish orange gravy....


4.The last step is to add the remaining curd ( 200 Gms) beat it nicely and add it cook for 5 minutes in low heat... I used curd / tomato instead of tamarind as curd will give a creamy look.

 Recipe for Podi for Dosa / Idli 

To be served with till oil for awesome taste 




Ingredients

Red chillies 10 Whole Urad Dal 1/2 cup Chana Dal –1/2 cup Hing -1/4 tsp White til seeds 1/2 cup Salt -1 tbsp salt Curry leaves – handful Oil -1 tsp

Roast it using little oil nicely keep it till cools down later in mixer powder it but don't powder it very fine.

Recipe for Puliyodharai / Pulikachal - My Granny Style Tamarind Rice

Ingredients for Puliyodharai / Pulikachal  - Raj Style (Make it the easy way)

Red Chillies (Round One's) 8-10 , Coriander powder , Red Chilli Powder , Sambhar Powder ( Available One),  Little of Pepper Powder, Turmeric , Little of Methi, Little of Groundnuts , Little of Chana Dal, Little of Tuar Dal , Curry Leaves, Little of White Sesame Seeds ( If you roast and grind? ) , Black Tamarind , Very Little of Gur (Jaggery) Gingerly Oil , Hing ,  Salt .

My twist , I add Onion, Tomato my granny used to make it without onion / tomato  :)
