108 Services a Central Government Initiative ?

From Hame Dekhna hai Ham Dekhenge to Hamne Kiya , Ham logon ne Banaya...
a rhetoric just to fool the people..

I had in my previous blog tried to expose congress lie that 108 Service is a central government initiative. The contents for this blog was passed on to me by Mr.Vikranth Reddy Kalva (@VikranthKalva),  his personal experience on how the whole concept got adopted by Andhra Pradesh government under YSR.

I would again re-iterate If at all 108 Service was a Central Government Initiative , Bihar Govt would too have had 108 as number to be called for emergencies. The emergency number in the state of Bihar is 102 with a similar PPP model . For more info you can click on Bihar PPP model

Even before the MOU with EMRI got signed the Government of Andhra Pradesh had purchased 75 Ambulances under Mother and Child Welfare scheme on their own and had plans to buy more under the scheme. They purchased  75 number of Tata Sumo Vehicles under mother and child welfare scheme. The whole idea failed as it was supposed to be run by local NGO's but none came forward to manage the services .

No one knows why there was rush to buy 75 Ambulances without having any infrastructure to run a life saving service or it was pure short sightedness of then Commissioner of Family Welfare.

The commissioner having funds to buy 500 Ambulances was desperately searching for some alternate solution as a face saver. He was informed about Ramalinga Raju's idea and held discussions with the CEO of EMRI to develop a PPP model to be implemented in Andhra Pradesh .

If i am correct EMRI was running 108 services as pilot project before getting funds from Andhra Pradesh Government.

The Congress government under YSR thought that it was a brilliant initiative and the idea was coined by then Commissioner of Family Welfare. As congress was running the state Govt, it owned up the whole project as their child. They later planted Rajiv Gandhi's photograph purely to get political mileage and reap election benefit.

Each and every employee of EMRI is first trained on Social Service, Importance of saving a Life. The political color given to such a marvelous initiative actually had killed the enthusiasm of field staff . They were almost like at the mercy of the local political leaders in AP.

Though the whole idea is at the mercy of the political class would say kudos to the chief ministers of those states who implemented such life saving free service for its people.

We all should salute the staff of EMRI 108 team who work relentlessly running around 24/7 to save a LIFE. Thanks Team EMRI - 108.

A final Blow to Modi ?? :)

“Gujarat Kisne Banaya Hamne” “India Kisne Banaya mere family ne Banaya” ???
The AP initiative has the Image of Shri Rajiv Gandhi
I am just amazed the way Pappu trying to draw crowds by calling “Jo bhi Bana jahan Bhi Bana Hamne Banaya”.

His speeches talk about the contributions made by his father, Grandmother and Great Grandfathers. And it was real fun to see his contribution by giving Indians Rupee 3 /- KG “Aloo ka funda”.

And I am ashamed of the congresses whose spineless leaders approve and bat for Pappu’s illogical rhetoric, forgetting the contributions of other congressmen who laid their life for Bharat.

As aptly said By Shri Narendra Modi “Homework karna chahiye tha”, everything what congresses star campaigners spoke about got punctured straight away.

I was shocked when I noticed a week ago in one of the Television Commercial portraying 108 services being brought by Congress in Gujarat,  It was re-iterated by one of the star campaigner too. I could relate to “EMRI 108” as one of the Vendor Partner during their launch in Gujarat and can say Homework should have been done.

108 Services from EMRI (Emergency Management Research Institute)

The center was started to provide free emergency service with Public Private Partnership model having access to Police, Medical and Fire with just a single number. The Number was made toll free accessible from landline and mobile phones for all emergencies. The whole idea was the brain child of the Satyam Computers Ramalinga Raju and was one of his pet projects.

The MOU was signed between EMRI and Andhra Pradesh Government in the Month of April 2005 and one of its kind free services in India was started on 15 August 2005. If I am right the EMRI team told me that Ramalinga Raju wanted to create a successful model in the state of AP and then approach other states for partnership. He wanted to create 911 kind of model for India, approached central government to make it mandatory across all the states.

And during one of my interaction the EMRI team told me about Gujarat and the kind of feedback I got from them about Narendra Modi was my first step towards knowing NaMo.  I was enthused when the EMRI team told that the launch in Gujarat will happen soon, the team said their presentation to the Chief Minister of Gujarat was just brilliant. The CM not only praised the project but also ensured the service be implemented in Gujarat at the earliest.

The EMRI team did not expect the clearances would be given so fast and the service has to be launched in just four months. The CM promised and ensured all the help required to launch the project on time. The Launch Happened on 29th of August 2007.

Ab Bolo Bhaiyya EMRI kisne Banaya Ramalinga Raju Ne Banaya :) , Gujarat Ma EMRI 108 kisne Launch Kiya Pappu Bhaiya ne Ya Ben ne Ya Congress ne ? Is it a Central Government scheme? Why Delhi does not have one of its kind “EMRI 108 services” for people of a Congress Ruled State. Why the Central Government still not made it mandatory for the states to implement the project?

It’s because EMRI partners with the state Governments and not with central government, it’s purely a state government’s prerogative to implement it or not. It's an marvelous initiative, The Central Government should be make mandatory for all the states to implement it and 108 should be made national emergency number in the lines of 911.
